    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw-in steel pipe pile capable of surely enhancing a load bearing capacity of ground by a simple constitution, and a ground reinforcing method using the same.SOLUTION: A steel pipe pile 1 comprises a steel pipe body 2, a spiral excavation blade 3 that is disposed on the outer periphery of a lower end thereof, and a consolidation blade 4 that is disposed on the outer periphery directly beneath an upper end and that assumes a shape spiral in the direction opposite to the excavation blade 3. A reinforcing piece 5, which is orthogonal to a length direction and which passes through its center, is disposed in the lowermost part of the pipe body 2, and a centering member 6 is disposed in a direction orthogonal to the reinforcing piece 5. The excavation blade 3 is a member spirally composed of a metal plate material on the lower outer periphery of the pipe body 2, and a bit 3a for excavating ground 7 is disposed at a lower end thereof. A spiral direction is directed in a direction of a right-hand screw. The consolidation blade 4 is composed of a metal plate material in a spiral shape directed in the direction opposite to the excavation blade 3 on the outer periphery directly beneath the upper end of the pipe body 2.
