    • PURPOSE:To enable a user to edit a document with high efficiency by providing a sentence importance deciding means which calculates the importance of each sentence forming the document in relation to other sentences and a topic extracting means which extracts the topics out of the sentences. CONSTITUTION:The document data inputted from a document input part 1 are sent to a sentence importance deciding part 3, a topic extracting part 4, and a processing part 5 via a control part 2. At the part 3 the important sentences are taken out of the paragraphs in a document by means of the expressions of the conjunctions, etc., of each sentence forming the document and then the connecting expressions, i.e., the conjunctions are extracted out of the sentence expressions. Then the part 3 decides the importance of the sentences decided for each conjunction and the important sentences are successively decided in the paragraphs. Then the part 4 extracts a flow of topics where the sentences are described. In this case, a topical word is extracted out of an expression like the Japanese 'WA', etc., the postpositional words functioning as the auxiliaries to the main words. Thus the document producing/ editing efficiency is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To execute quickly asking-back by suspending a voice output once after a clause in an output has ended the output, in case of a voice input of asking-back has been executed in the output of a voice response part, and outputting a message from a word group of the time when the voice input has been executed again. CONSTITUTION:When a voice response part 5 is outputting a voice by a command from a conversion control pat 3, a voice recognizing part 1 executes a recognition of an asking-back word which has been stored in the inside. When a voice input is executed in the course of this voice output, the conversation control part 3 sends out an interrupting signal to the voice response part 5 when an interrupting signal is sent from the voice recognizing part 1, and also sends out a command for suspending the voice output at the time point when a clause in the output has ended its output by a data line 15. In case of the voice input has been an asking-back word, the conversation control part 3 sends out a resynthesizing instruction to the voice response part 5, and executes an output again from the word group of the time point when an interruption has been received.
