    • PURPOSE:To steplessly adjust the position of a head rest main body by tightening and pressurizing a joint member inserted to the head rest main body and a fitting block, and generating friction force among a stay, the head rest main body and the attaching block. CONSTITUTION:The top part of a stay 3 fixed at a seat back is inserted into the engaging groove of a fitting block 2, the block 2 is fit into a recessed part 8 to the heat rest main body 1, a joint member 10 is tightened, and the head rest main body 1 and the fitting block 2 are pressured in mutually approximating directions. Force is applied in the direction, in which the stay 3 is deformed, by the head rest main body 1 part and the fitting block part 2, which abut on the stay 3, and the force generates the friction force between the stay 3 and the head rest main body 1 and between the stay 3 and the fitting block 2. Thus, the position of the head rest main body 1 can be steplessly adjusted, and play can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a false signal accompanying state changes of a switchine element with regards to a code discriminant device which reads coded information by amplifying changes in the intensity of amplitude of an amplitude modulation signal with the switching element. SOLUTION: This device comprises an amplifier 14, which is provided with a drive circuit 58 of an antenna coil 12, a demodulation circuit 68 which demodulates an amplitude modulation signal generated in the antenna coil 12 and a switching element 70 which is driven in the demodulation circuit 68. This device als comprises an electronic control unit(ECU) 16 which is provided with a microcomputer 36 which reads coded information from the state of the switching element. The amplifier 14 is connected to the ECU 16 by way of connectors 44 and 46. A reference potential line 71 of the switching element 70 and a reference potential line 60 of the drive circuit 58 are connected to a grounding terminal 26 of the ECU 16 by way of the other terminal of the connector.
