摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly print an envelope and to prevent the paper jamming caused by back feed by forwardly rotating a paper feed roller to feed two or more media such as envelopes or tack seals to a prescribed cueing position to set them. SOLUTION: Since the printing of an envelope E is designated as a printing medium, a paper feed roller 5 is further forwardly rotated to execute a predetermined quantity of paper feed. In this case, since there is a limit in levitation quantity, levitation quantity does not becomes large by paper feed of the passage. Subsequently, when the paper feed roller 5 is reversed to perform back feed in quantity larger than additional paper feed quantity, the rear side paper being in contact with the paper feed roller 5 is pulled toward a paper supply port and the head T of an envelope E is bent downwardly. When the paper feed roller 5 is forwardly rotated to feed excessively back-fed part, the envelope E enters a platen 4 in such a state that the head T thereof is bent downwardly to be set to predetermined cueing quantity.

摘要： PURPOSE:To smoothly feed lapped paper temporarily bound by paper staples or the like by a method wherein in a paper feeder provided with upper and lower guides for guiding upper and lower surfaces of paper, the upper guide is provided with relief parts opposed to the both end parts of paper. CONSTITUTION:When lapped paper formed by lapping a plurality of sheets of paper and temporarily binding the both end parts thereof by paper staples is handled by a paper feeder comprising a feed path 6 formed between upper and lower guides 3, 4, in the both end parts of the lapped paper the presence of the paper staples causes the thickness increase and the resistance increase, which results in a problem of reduction of a paper feed accuracy or occurrence of paper clogging. Therefore, relief parts 3a, 4a are respectively formed in the parts of the upper and lower guides 3, 4 opposed to the both end parts of paper. The relief parts 3a, 4a are so constructed as to separate the paper from the surfaces of the guides 3, 4 opposed to the both end parts of paper.
