In this optical scanner, the image-forming position of the optical beams is varied from the surface to be scanned in accordance with the dynamic deformation of the oscillating mirror. The first image-forming optical system is equipped with a means for varying the image forming position, a means for periodically varying the converged state or the diverged state of the optical beams.
