    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image pickup device which fixes a highly functional lens holder and a storage vessel with a photo-curing adhesive even in the case where the lens holder is larger than the storage vessel, and is miniaturized without reducing productivity.
SOLUTION: The image pickup device includes the lens holder 2, on which a lens for condensing incident light is mounted, and the storage vessel 4 on which an imaging device chip 3 for converting an optical image formed by the lens to an electric signal is mounted. The lens holder 2 and the storage vessel 4 are fixed with an ultraviolet-curing adhesive 5 in such arrangement that light from the lens 1 is led to the imaging device chip 3, and an enclosure of the lens holder 2 is provided with a shaven part 15 through which the ultraviolet-curing adhesive 5 applied to an adhesion face to the storage vessel 4 is exposed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the thickness and size of an imaging device by reducing the thickness of an optical filter 3 and optical filter support 4 in the direction of an optical axis.
SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: a circuit board 6 for processing an electric signal converted from an image; a holder 5 which is placed on the circuit board 6 and in which legs, body, and support 4, located between the legs and body and has a hole 4A made in the center, are integrally formed; a condenser lens 1 mounted inside the body; an optical filter 3 placed on the internal face defining the circumferential edge of the hole 4A made in the support 4; and an imaging element 2 which is disposed on the underside of the support 4 so as to cover the hole 4A, which forms an image with light passed through the condenser lens 1 and the optical filter 3, and which converts the image into an electric signal and then outputs the signal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal breakdown caused by sticking of a foreign matter to an end surface of a core by making a clean atmosphere in a neighboring area of an incident end of an optical fiber with the use of a dust collection filler. SOLUTION: In an optical fiber 18 transmitting laser beam 15 that is condensed with a condensing lens 16 and then exits through an optical fiber connector 17, a fitting part 18a bonded to the optical fiber connector 17, and a working head that condenses the laser beam 15 to apply it to an object to be worked are fitted to an incident-end side and an exit-end side, respectively. When it is necessary to exchange the optical fiber 18 for a new one, a clean air stream 21 wherein foreign matters 20 are removed by operating a clean unit 19 is made to blow off, so that a neighboring area of the incident end of the optical fiber 18 enclosed by a transparent nylon sheet 22 is filled with the clean air stream 21. As a result, thermal breakdown is prevented at the time of fitting work for the optical fiber 18.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the generation efficiency of uranium vapor with respect to making electric power by pressing electrodes to both side of a sheet- or bar-shaped uranium metal under transfer and energizing these electrodes, thereby heating the uranium metal to evaporate. SOLUTION: A high vacuum is maintained in a vacuum chamber 1 by a vacuum pump 2. Prebaking to evaporate the moisture sticking to the surfaces by heating the respective parts with a heater 26 is executed. The bar-shaped uranium metal 19 is delivered from a supplying means 20 to another supplying means 21. Voltage is impressed on the electrodes 22, 23 by a power source 24 and the electrodes are brought into contact with the uranium metal 19. The uranium metal 19 melts and evaporates and the uranium vapor 8 is generated. The uranium vapor 8 is irradiated with a laser beam 11 to ionize the uranium 235. The ionized uranium 235 vapor 13 is separated from the flow of the uranium vapor 16 by a magnetic field impressing means and is deposited by evaporation on the surface of a product recovering plate 12 and is thus made into a product 14. The uranium vapor 16 having the content of the uranium 235 is deposited by evaporation on a deteriorated uranium recovering plate 15 and is thereby recovered.
