SOLUTION: A bar-shaped member 16 is installed projectingly from the bottom surface 18a of a plate 18 of a Faraday cup 10, and a receiving part 21 is installed on the upper surface 25a of an outer box 25 of a preamplifier device 20. In this case, external threads 16a are carved on the outer surface of an end part of the bar-shaped member 16, projecting downward from a fixed ring 17, and internal threads 21a are carved on the inner surface of the receiving part 21, and the bar-shaped member 16 is connected to the receiving part 21 by thread connection. A shield ring 22, encircling the connection part between the bar-shaped member 16 and the receiving part 21, is interposed between the bottom surface 18a of the plate 18 and the upper surface 25a of the outer box 25, to thereby shield an electromagnetic wave entering the connection part between the bar-shaped member 16 and the receiving part 21.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential electric mobility measuring unit capable of easily measuring the grain size of fine grains distributed in a wide range at a low cost. SOLUTION: This differential electric mobility measuring unit 1 is provided with a base section 4, an envelope body 6 movably connected to the base section via an expansion body 5, and a central rod 7 connected to the base section 4 and extended toward the inside of the envelope body 6. The envelope body 6 has one slit 8 for drawing charged fine grains to the inside, and the central rod 7 has the other slit 9 for extracting the charged fine grains drawn from one slit 8 to the outside. The envelope body 6 and central rod 7 are made of a conductor, a variable-voltage source 12 is connected to the central rod 7, and the envelope body 6 is grounded. The base section 4 and envelope body 6 are movably connected, and the distance between one slit 8 and the other slit 9 can be changed while the inside of the envelope body 6 is maintained at the sealed state by the expansion body 5.
