      SOLUTION: The speech system is constituted in such a method that a voice speech line is automatically connected in-between a counterpart station after calling the counterpart station for a specified period of time by operations of a speech switch 16. At least two kinds of longer and shorter connection response times are previously set to a communication means 13 to connect the voice speech line as a required time from receiving the call from the counterpart station until the connection of the voice speech line.
