SOLUTION: A plurality of computers (terminals 1001 to 1004, a server 200) are connected via a network. In such a system, for example, when a certain piece of information is desired to be shown to other users by a user of the terminal 1001, the transmission request command is transmitted from the terminal 1001 to the server 200. Information like a file name, a storage position (reading position) of the transmission data, etc., is included in the transmission request command. When the transmission request command is received from the terminal 1001, whether data corresponding to the command are stored in a database 230 or not are retrieved by the server 200. The retrieved data are simultaneously broadcasted to the terminals 1001 to 1004 by a data transmitting part 240.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control method for a virtual file in a video reproduction device or the like by which a reply time for revising the reproduction mode requiring discontinuous video information in terms of contents is reduced. SOLUTION: A video reproduction device 1 receives video information compression-coded through a communication section 3, uses a device control section 2 to write on two buffers of a virtual file section 4 alternately usually and a reproduction control section 5 reads the video information from the virtual file section 4 and a decoder 6 decodes the information. In the case that a write request to other file than the virtual file is made, the device control section 2 starts writing of new video information from other buffer than the buffer having been used for reading even when preceding video information is left in the virtual file section 4. That is, even when old video information is left in the buffer, the reply time of the reproduction mode change is reduced by writing new video information without awaiting the opened buffer through reading.
