CONSTITUTION:An electrostrictive actuator 120 in a unit injector 1 is operated by a driving signal from a controller 4, injecting fuel. If assumed, for instance, + or -300V for driving signal voltage, 1mm. for injection amount of the injection 1 per one time of its opening and closing action and 30mm. for fuel amount required per one time of combustion, the injector 1 performs 30 times of injection for a required injection period T after starting to inject fuel from the required injection start timing Di, but an injection interval tau of the injector 1 is not equally but decreasingly set as the combustion goes into its latter period so that the combustion may be intensified by increasing the injection amount per unit time. In this way, combustion efficiency of an engine is improved while its noise is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the mixing of fuel and air, by injecting fuel at a rate corresponding to the operational conditions of an engine each time a fuel injection timing signal is produced at a fixed frequency so that the frequency of injection is not reduced even if the engine speed is lowered. CONSTITUTION:A means for generating fuel injection timing signal produces a fuel injection timing signal at a fixed frequency. A means for calculating the fuel injection period calculates the fuel injection period according to predetermined parameters representing operational conditions of an engine. Further, a fuel supply means supplies fuel to the engine according to the calculated fuel injection period when the fuel injection timing signal is produced. Thus, since the frequency of injection is not reduced even if the engine speed is lowered, it is enabled to improve mixing of fuel and air.

CONSTITUTION:A rotation sensor 75 provides a level signal to close analog switches 47 and 48 so that the analog switches 51 and 52 of a point circuit 50 are caused to repeat ON and OFF actions also by the output signals of a delay circuits 42 and 44 which delay the ignition signals provided by electromagnetic pickups 32 and 34. Therefore, a high tension is generated in the secondary coil 67 of an ignition coil 65 during the expansion stroke of each cylinder after the compression top dead center. This high tension current flows through the carbon adhering to the surface of the insulator 24 of the spark plugs raising the temperature of the carbon so that the carbon is removed in the form of carbon dioxide.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the spark plug from smoldering, in such manner with a first high voltage applied to the spark plug and a second high voltage applied to the spark plug immediately before combustion stroke further with application of the first high voltage ceased according to a status of the engine. CONSTITUTION:With a carbon sticking to the insulator leg part of a spark plug 20, when caused a leak of high voltage, an engine sensor 70 turns a switch 60 on. This causes a first high voltage generator 30 to apply a first high voltage of about 2KV through a distrubutor 50 to the spark plug 20 of each cylinder at the time of suction stroke, with a carbon, stuck to the insulator leg part, converted into carbon dioxide (CO2) and removed. Accordingly, an insulation resistance of the spark plug 20 is promptly restored to become a high resistance near infinity, and a second high voltage, fed from a second high voltage generator 40, causes a discharge in spark gap between a center electrode 21 and earth electrode 22 of the spark plug 20.
