    • PURPOSE: To perform a uniform heating process over a wider range with an electromagnetic wave heating device capable of performing heating using the principle that strong field exists at a front position λ/4 apart from a short plate in a waveguide. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of waveguides 1 and 2 with rectangular cross section and each one side closed with a short plate 7 are stacked, so as to keep the long sides of the rectangular form superposed. Also, a nonmetal tube 3 for flowing a heating object is laid through the waveguides 1 and 2 along a direction vertical to a plane including the long sides. Furthermore, the other sides of the waveguides 1 and 2 without any short plate 7 are connected to electromagnetic wave generators 4 and 4 respectively. In this case, a zone M to give maximum field strength is at a position away from the short plate 7 by 1/4 of the waveguide wavelength of the frequency of an applied electromagnetic wave. According to this construction, a plurality of the zones M to give the maximum field strength can be set along a direction across a transport route 3. Thus, the diameter of the tube 3 can be enlarged to increase a process rate and apply uniform heat. In this case, the waveguide may be laid by a plurality of numbers or one waveguide may be branched. Also, uniform heat can be applied over a wider range, when the waveguide is expanded like a tapered form.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an electromagnetic wave heating device capable of performing an efficient heating by extracting moisture oozing out of a heated item. CONSTITUTION:A micro-wave is guided from a magnetron of a micro-wave generating device to a wave guide 2. The wave guide 2 is arranged vertically and an output of a micro-wave is guided from a lower part to an upper part. A wedge type container 3 having a low dielectric loss is installed downward in the midway of the wave-guide 2. A heated item 4 is set in the container. There is a hole at the bottom part of the container. To the hole is connected a water discharging hose 6 of low dielectric loss. The water drain hose is guided out of the device through a wave guide 7 in a shut-off mode. As this container, a comical shaped container, a rectangular pyramid shaped container and a cup-shaped container having a downward protruded shape beside the wedge- shaped container may be used. There is provided a lid of electromagnetic wave shielding structure for passing gas but shielding and electromagnetic wave, a punched metal 5 is installed at the extremity end of the wave guide. This device can heat efficiently even the substances having a wide induction rate such as substance of water and the like.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a dehydration processing without scattering of heated substance by water vapor generated within a container by a method wherein the extremity end and the side surface of an inner container are provided with a plurality of holes, a clearance is formed between an inner container and an outer container, an electromagnetic wave is incident from a direction of extremity end of a protrusion of the outer container so as to heat within the container. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 positioned within a wave guide 2 is comprised of an inner container 6 and an outer container 7. The inner container 6 and the outer container 7 are formed to have a protruded shape with non-magnetic material of low dielectric loss. The inner container 6 is installed inside the outer container 7. Either the extremity end of the inner container 6 or the extremity end and the side surface of the inner container 6 are provided with a plurality of holes. A clearance is formed between the inner container 6 and the outer container 7 and an electromagnetic wave is incident from the direction of the protrusions of these containers 6 and 7. With such an arrangement as above, the dehydration processing can be carried out with water vapor generated by a heated substance within the container 3 without any dispersion of the water vapor.

When the plate 1 is further rotated, the connector 4 of the board 5 is disengaged from a connector 3 and the board 5 starts to come off an enclosure. By moving the handle plate 1 held by a holding section 9a from an arm body 9, the connector 4 of the circuit board 5 is disengaged from the connector 3 and the board 5 is pulled out from the enclosure.
