SOLUTION: The rice cooker is composed of a main body 1, a pot 2 housed in the main body 1 in a detachable manner, a heating means 4 provided in the main body 1 for heating the pot 2, and a lid 5 covering the opening part of the upper surface of the main body 1 and pivotally supported to be freely openable and closable. The lid 5 is provided with a steam port 18 for discharging steam at the time of cooking rice, a blowing passage 44 communicated into the pot 2 via a blowing port over the pot 2, and a blower on the side of the pot 2 of this passage 44. Cooked rice is heat-insulated according to a heat-insulating program matching with the quantity of the cooked rice by a weight sensor for measuring the quantity of the cooked rice to be heat-insulated and is heat-insulated according to the heat-insulating program matching with the room temperature by a room temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of atmosphere to obtain satisfactory heat-insulating performance.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of a water level line and enable easy water level adjustment by printing a continuous water level line in a wide range within a fluororesin coat layer in the periphery of the inner side surface, and further varying the color of the water level line by each water level line. SOLUTION: The outer surface of a rice cooker 1 obtained by press-forming aluminum material is finished with anodic oxide coating and the inner surface thereof is coated with fluororesin. The fluororesin coat is obtained by roughening the surface made of aluminum by blasting, then applying fluororesin and primer containing an adhesive component and a pigment, and further applying a top coat of fluororesin on the upper layer thereof. As the water level line 2 is printed on the primer layer after application of primer and drying, it is positioned between the primer layer and the top coat. Further, figures and characters 3 for adjusting the water quantity according to the amount of polished rice in boiling the rice are similarly positioned between them, and the continuous water level line 2 is printed extending over the whole periphery outside the display part of the figures and characters 3.

SOLUTION: The hinge shaft 24 for freely openably and closably and pivotally supporting the lid body 23 at one side of a rice cooker main body is fixed on an upper frame 22 attached to the upper surface opening part of the rice cooker main body and lid-opening energizing force is supplied to the lid body 23 at al-l times by the hinge spring 37 whose one side is fixed inside the lid body 23 and other side is abutted to the upper frame 22. The hinge spring part of the upper frame 22 is constituted of the hinge springs 37 for which the sleeve is inserted to the hinge shaft 24, the hinge shaft 24, the inner diameter of the sleeve, the outer diameter of the sleeve and the inner diameter of the hinge spring 37 are set to a fixed clearance, contact at the time of turning the lid is prevented and silencing is performed. Also, when the end part for insertion with a locking hole 36 of the hinge spring 37 is inserted, it is inserted along a chevron inclination 35 and assembly is easily performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a blowing fan for cooling a switching element and reduce the noise by controlling an inverter circuit according to the output of a room temperature sensor for detecting the ambient temperature near a regenerative heat skin thermally conductively connected to the switching circuit of the inverter circuit. SOLUTION: When an electric rice cooker is electrified, an inverter circuit 30 is driven through a switching element 31, and a high frequency current is supplied to a heating coil 25, and rice cooking is performed by the heating of an inner pan 24. The heat generated by the switching element 31 is diffused to a regenerative heat skin 32, and the heat not stored when a certain fixed quantity of heat is imparted is released to the air. A support base 40 having an enclose 41 for surrounding a room temperature sensor 50 is mounted near the regenerative heat skin 32. Thus, the heat is stored around the room temperature sensor 40, so that the highest temperature in the second rice cooking never exceeds the breakage temperature of the switching element 31, and the inverter circuit 30 is controlled according to the output of the room temperature sensor 50.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of cooked rice by providing a blow passage in a lid body communicating with the blow passage port of the lid body, arranging a blower for blowing air into a pot through the blow passage and providing a lid opening/closing detecting means in the lid body. SOLUTION: The fan part 27 of the blower 26 is pivotally supported between a fan case and an outer lid cover so as to be freely rotatable at the side of a heat radiation board on the lower surface of the outer lid cover in communication with the blow port 34 arranged in the lid body. Then the lid is opened after cooking rice so that a float is moved. When a lid opening state is detected by a switch being the lid opening/closing detecting means, the driving of the blower 26 is stopped. Besides, a lid opening time or lid opening times during heat insulation are detected by the switch, the driving time of the blower 26 is controlled by the length of the lid opening time, the quantity of outer air to be supplied into the pot is controlled, moisture in the pot is prevented from being removed too much and dew condensation is prevented.
