    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower noise by lowering the velocity of an ion wind and to provide deodorizing function by providing a dust charging means charging dust to induce an ion wind, an ion wind inducing means and an electrical dust collecting means electrically collecting dust and arranging a deodorizing part almost in parallel to the ion wind. SOLUTION: When voltage is applied to each of discharge wires 3 of a first discharge electrode block 15, an opposed electrode plate 4 and a dust collecting electrode 40, air in the vicinity of the discharge wires 3 is ionized to generate positive ions which are, in turn, moved toward the opposed electrode plate 4 already set to a negative potential. The contaminated air in a room is sucked from the suction port 11 of the rear surface of a main body 2 by the ion wind generated by the movement of molecules and, when the air passes through a prefilter 20, large dust is collected. The dust B in air is positively charged to be attracted to the dust collecting electrode 40 set to a negative potential to adhere to a dust collecting paper 41. Offensive smell molecules contained in the air at this time are deodorized by a deodorizing agent when being passed through a deodorizing part 7.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the deodorizing capacity and to contrive the maintenance-free by bringing an ascorbic acid solution into contact with a filter consisting of expanded iron, and also, allowing air to pass through the filter. CONSTITUTION:In a housing 1 in which a vent port is formed in the front and the back, a fan 2 is installed, and also, expanded iron 3 is provided in a shape of intersecting a vent line part. Also, as for the expanded iron 3, its lower part is immersed in an immersed layer 6 in which an ascorbic acid solution 5 collects. Accordingly, the ascorbic acid solution soaks into the whole the expanded iron 3, by a capillary phenomenon, and when ventilation is executed by rotating the fan 2, a temperature of air falls by about 5 deg.C by heat of vaporization at the time when the ascorbic acid solution is vaporized and cold air is discharged from a discharge port in from of the housing 1. Also, the expanded iron 3 eliminates a bad-smelling component contained in air passing through the inside of the housing 1 and deodorization is executed, and also, the deodorizing capacity which the expanded iron 3 has can be reproduced by aqueous vapor at the time when the ascorbic acid solution is vaporized, and deterioration of the deodorizing capacity of the expanded iron 3 is eliminated.
