    • PURPOSE: To increase the liquefaction resistance of an inner ground within a cylindrical body by burying the cylindrical body extended in the vertical direction, which is so constituted that a great number of plates having through holes are frozen, into a support ground for a structure. CONSTITUTION: A great number of plates 20,... each of which is roughly in a U shape in cross section, and has at least, one through hole 22 and 22 are connected with each other one after another in such a way that each surface is interchangeably combined with the reverse side of its adjacent plate, and they are formed into a cylindrical body 14 extended in the vertical direction. The cylindrical body 14 is then buried in the ground supporting a structure 10, its upper end is exposed out of the ground surface, and its lower end shall be positioned at a sandy soil 16, furthermore preferably in a non-sandy soil 18 underneath the sandy soil. By this constitution, the inner ground of the cylindrical body 14 is made higher in stiffness than its circumferential ground, and the pore water pressure of the inner ground can be controlled to be roughly identical to that of its circumferential ground even in case of earthquakes, so that the liquefaction resistance of the inner ground can there by be increased.

    • PURPOSE: To restrain the enlarging deformation of the ground, by arranging steel plates protruding inward in the radial direction of a cylindrical wall body and fixing between mutual steel skeleton members of an underground wall and joining a plurality of reinforcing members together by a ring. CONSTITUTION: Respective steel plates 30 are protruded toward the center of a nearly circular form stipulated by a wall body 26 and fixed at both sides 32 of mutually adjacent reinforcing members 28. The reinforcing members 28 are arranged vertically in the peripheral direction of the wall body 26 with a distance therebetween. A ring 16 surrounding the underground wall 14 is constituted of a plurality of H-shaped steel members 34 making a polygonal form in plane view and arranged to get in contact with a part of the outside flange of the H-shaped steel 28 as a reinforcing member. Mutual H-shaped steel members 34 constituting the ring 16 are welded at respective ends. Respective rings 16 prevent respective H-shaped steels 28 from moving outward in the radial direction when the wall body 26 is influenced by a leteral expansive force of the inside ground and respective H-shaped steel members 28 prevent respective steel plates 30 adjacent to the H-shaped steel members in the peripheral direction from deforming from the protruded shape to a flat shape.
