    • PURPOSE:To obtain a reversal image which has the especially high resolution and does not generate dust around the image, by giving a negative electrification characteristic to an image carrier and giving a positive electrification characteristic to a magnetic toner and applying a negative DC voltage to a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Such characteristic is given to a toner 3 that it is positively electrified with a polarity opposite to that of an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoconductive layer 1a,and the toner 3 has a positive electric charge in the carrying stage by contacting between the toner 3 and a sleeve 4 or a doctor blade 6 and between toner particles. At the time of reaching the developing area, the toner 3 having the positive electric charge is stuck to the non-image part of the photoconductive layer 1a to form a toner image. This toner image reaches a transfer position by the rotation of a photosensitive drum 1, and a positive electric field having a polarity opposite to that of the electrostatic latent image is applied from the rear face of a transfer sheet to transfer the toner image onto the transfer sheet, and the image is fixed through a means using heat or pressure.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a reversal image having high resolution without pick up of dust by using an electric charge type magnetic toner having an electrostatic charge characteristic of the polarity reverse from the polarity of an electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:The sharp image having the improved resolution with the extremely little pick up of dust is obtd. by using the magnetic toner having the characteristic to be electrosatically charged to the polarity reverse from the polarity of the electrostatic latent image. Since the magnetic toner having the characteristic to be eletrostatically charged to the polarity reverse from the polarity of the electrostatic latent image is used, the magnetic toner appears to stick to the image part of the electrostatic latent image according to the previous way of thinking but in practice, the toner sticks to the non-image part of the electrostatic latent image. The magnetic toner having the electrostatic charge characteristic with which the quantity of the absolute value of the electrostatically charged by friction is in a 1-20muc/g range and the absolute value of the surface potential generated on the surface by the rotation of the toner is in a 10-90V range is preferably used.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an image good in image quality by attaching conductive particles made of polypyrrole to the surfaces of toner particles. CONSTITUTION:A metal-coating plastic film is formed into a colorless conductive compd. in a pyrrole soln. of an org. compd. by electrochemical reaction, and it is pulverized to form conductive particles, and attached to the surfaces of toner particles prepared by binding a magnetic power and a colorant with a resin to form a magnetic toner. Since the conductive particles are colorless, even when this toner is used as a magnetic color toner, a clear color image can be obtained. Since the conductive particles are attached to the surfaces of the toner particles, agglomeration of the magnetic toner can be avoided.
