SOLUTION: This release mechanism 13 separates the connection-side connector 12 mounted on a device body part 11 of the board-mounted optical communication device 10 from a board-side connector 8 mounted on a board 2. The release mechanism is equipped with: a guide member 15 interlaid between the body part 11 and the board 2 for movably guiding the body part 11 in a direction for separating it from the connector 8; and a release lever 16 mounted on the body part 11 for pushing one way against the guide member 15 toward the board 2.

A spring part 25 is provided between the projecting part 24 and a cover main body 22e, so that excessive stress is not applied to the optical fiber and the optical fiber is pressed to the V groove 11 with a proper pressure to prevent positional deviation and breaks of the optical fiber 6.

Also, the stack surfaces between the quartz substrate and the metallic plate do not slide by inserting a bar shaped member into the grooves formed in the quartz substrate and the metallic plate. Consequently, the Bragg wavelength λBragg is not fluctuated even if temperature rises. Further, the quartz substrate 8-1 is surely stuck to the metallic plate 11-1 by holding end parts of input/output sides of the quartz substrate 8-1 and the metallic plate 11-1 with a holding member having a U-shaped cross section and by fixing the holding member with a screw. Thus, the reliability is improved.
