    • PURPOSE:To easily detect a specific character corresponding to a channel under a DMA even when the DMA is applied to the data on plural channels in response to these channels by identifying the channel under transfer of data based on the result of address comparison obtained via an address comparison part and informing a character detecting part of the identified channel. CONSTITUTION:A DMA control part 4 controls the transfer of data which is performed between a memory 2 and a communication control part 3 having plural channels via a bus 7 with no intervention of a processor 1. At the same time, a character detecting part 5 detects a specific character out of the data transferred. Then an address comparison part 6 compares the address corresponding to a channel where an area of the memory 2 is allocated in response to a channel with the address of the memory 2 set on the bus 7 which transfers the data under the control of the part 4. Thus a channel which is under transfer of data is identified based on the result of address comparison obtained by the part 6. Then the identified channel informed to the part 5. Thus it is possible to easily detect a specific character corresponding to a channel under DMA even when the DMA is applied to the data on plural channel in response to these channels.

    • PURPOSE:To easily specify a line whose communication is interrupted by inputting the result of detection of interrupted communication to an OR circuit when a timer of each line and a status register detects the interrupted communication and using the output of the OR circuit to allow the firmware to reference the status register. CONSTITUTION:When a data input/output signal is inputted from each line, a timer 1 of each line is reset and when the timer is not reset for a prescribed time, an interruption signal is generated from the timer 1. An OR circuit 4 ORs status registers 3 and inputs the result to a firmware 5. Then the firmware 5 checks the content of the status registers 3, specifies a line with the interrupt caused therein and transits it to the interruption processing routine. The firmware 5 counts the number of times of interruption, resets the count when not consecutive and interrupts the line when a prescribed number or above of consecutive interruption takes place. Thus, the load of the firmware 5 is relieved.

CONSTITUTION:A pattern signal generating circuit 21 generating a pattern signal EOL consecutively is provided in a transmission end signal recovery device recovering the transmission end signal (RTC) comprising N-set of consecutive prescribed pattern signal (EOL horizontal synchronizing signal) strings included in an input signal. Moreover, a consecutive pattern signal string detection circuit 22 detecting strings of consecutive pattern signals less than N from the input signal and a recovery circuit 23 recovering the transmission end signal in the input signal with a pattern signal from the pattern signal generating circuit 21 in response to the detection of the consecutive pattern signal string by the consecutive pattern signal string detection circuit 22 are provided. Thus, the transmission end signal is recovered automatically in a complete form and the reliability of communication service is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To arbitrarily select the external modems of various types of line specifications and to execute a data communication with an information center by providing a telephone line connecting terminal, the line connecting terminal of the external modem and an exclusive line connecting terminal in a communication terminal. CONSTITUTION:When relays 11 and 13 are turned off, an internal modem 2 is connected to the telephone line side through relays 9-11 and the terminals N1, N2 and the external modem is connected to the exclusive line side through the terminals P1, P2. When the relays 11 and 12 are turned on, the internal modem 3 is connected to the exclusive line side through the terminals P1, P2 and the external modem is connected to the telephone line side through the relays 9-11 and the terminals N1, N2. Such a line switching function is provided and a general purpose interface is disposed in the terminal side, thereby, the external modems of the various types of the line specifications can be connected.
