    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in a fixing property of image when recording image on an image-receiving material, free from bleeding and not causing bleeding and blurring of recorded image during storage, the image-receiving material and an image-forming material and to provide an image-forming method. SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises at least water-soluble dye used for an inkjet recording system for ejecting ink drops according to image information onto the image-receiving material containing a water-soluble dye and a mordant in an image-receiving layer. The water-soluble dye produces an insoluble precipitation when the dye and the mordant are mixed into a buffer solution having pH 5-8 so that each of the concentration of a binding group binding to the mordant in the dye and the concentration of a mordant group mordanting the dye in the mordant become 0.1 mmol/L. The present invention provides the ink composition, the image-receiving material combined with the water-soluble dye, the image-forming material composed of the ink composition and image-receiving material and provides an image-forming method.
