摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for treating a travelling yarn with a steamy medium, wherein the yarn discharged from the device after treated with steam keeps its quality good.
SOLUTION: The device has a columnar part having a path for taking in and out a yarn and plural chambers piled up mutually, wherein one of the chambers is a steam-treating chamber (5) having a steam inlet and a condensate outlet, a mixing chamber (4) is set at the former position of the steam-treating chamber and a cooling chamber (6) having a comparatively large volume is connected on the following position of the steam-treating chamber, and the path for taking in and out a yarn has an open profile, by which, on the one hand, the yarn is made passing through by air and, on the other hand, replace of air in the chamber with steam is controlled by a controller controlling steam and air into the steam-treating chamber (5) or into the mixing chamber (4) and the cooling chamber (6) so as to form, in the chambers connected on former and following positions of the steam-treating chamber (5), steam-air-mixture atmosphere almost preventing infiltration of air into the steam-treating chamber (5).
