    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve aseismicity by providing a suppression chamber for preserving cooling water around a pedestal provided surrounding near the core of reactor pressure vessel. SOLUTION: A reactor pressure vessel 3 is fixed at the lower end part on a support cell 22 and at the upper end side on the top slab 14 side of the containment shell 4. Around the pressure vessel 3, a cylindrical pedestal 23 is stood so as to surround the vicinity of the core part 3a apart for a specific gap. Between the upper end part and the containment shell 4, a ring shape diaphragm floor 24 is bridged so that a drywell 25 for guiding steam line in the upper part and a suppression chamber 26 for reserving cooling water in the lower part are partitioned by the floor 24. Inside the pedestal 23, a vent pipe 27 for guiding steam leaking into the drywell 25 is provided. On the inner wall side, a biological shield wall 28 surrounding the vicinity of the core 3a is provided.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a seismic device designed for a high rising structure or heavy structure or an atomic power plant structural body or an oil tank which may cause a disaster when it is collapsed, and especially, a seismic device capable of withstanding vertical vibrations caused by an earthquake with a vertical shock. CONSTITUTION: An excavation hole 3 is drilled directly from a surrounding area of a side wall of an existing structural body to be protected to an immovable basement at the underground depth based on a curved slanting excavation method. An anchor material 5 which bundles a steel bar material 4 is inserted from the upper part of the excavation hole and buried to the lower part of the excavation hole 3 which reaches the immovable basement 2. A curved anchor (b), which fills up the clearance between the anchor material 5 and the excavation hole 3 with concrete 6 is radially installed in broadening the lower end so that it may envelop a foundation 7 of an existing structural body (a). The upper and lower parts of the curved anchors 7 are fixedly connected to the foundation 7 or the lower part of the existing structural body (a) and the immovable basement 2, thereby protecting the existing structural body by relaxing and containing vertical and horizontal vibrations.
