    • PURPOSE:To prevent the expansion of bellows and prevent the drop of output by providing stoppers for preventing the shifting of reinforcing rings at the periphery of bellows. CONSTITUTION:In case of making a brake booster function as an automatic brake, air is introduced into the inner space of bellows 13 by operating a solenoid valve 16. Thereupon, pressure difference occurs between fixed pressure chambers A and C and changed pressure chambers B and D, and output is gotten from an output shaft 24. At this time, the inner space A' gets at high pressure by the fixed pressure chamber A outside it, and the bellows 13 seeks to expand in radial direction. To suppress this expansion, reinforcing rings 27 are fit in the troughs 13a of the bellows 13, and further stoppers 23 of circular projections are made at the inclines in front and in rear of the trough 13a. Therefore, the reinforcing rings 27 are prevented from shifting to the adjacent troughs 13a, consequently the volume expansion of the inner space A' is suppressed, and the output drop as an automatic brake is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate handling and heighten assembling workability of a tandem brake booster by integrally forming an outer circumferential bead part and an outer circumferential seal part of a front diaphragm and making the outer circumferential part hard to twist. CONSTITUTION:By extending an outer circumferential bead part 11a of a front diaphragm 11 outward in the radial direction, an outer circumferential seal part for keeping air-tightness of a connection part between a front shell 2 and a center plate 4 is formed. A bellows (not shown in fig.) and a cylindrical support member 15 are provided in a constant pressure chamber A on the front side, an end part of the bellows on the front side is brought into press contact with the surface of a wall of the front shell 2 by an end part of the support member 15 on the front side, and a high or a low pressure fluid is made selectively applicable to an inner space of the bellows. A plurality of protrusions (ribs) 11c are radially formed on the surface of the front diaphragm 11 being in contact with a falling-off stopper 15e of the support member 15, thereby a part of a low pressure passage 25 is partitioned.
