    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food sterilization method which enables pressure and heat sterilization by using a steam convection oven which can be more inexpensively installed than a retort-sterilization pressure oven.
      SOLUTION: Food 1 to be sterilized is put in a vessel 9, and the vessel 9 containing the food 1 is vacuum-packaged. The vacuum-packaged vessel 9A containing the food is put in an approximately full state into a container body 2 of a food sterilizing container comprising the metallic container body 2 with an upper opening which can receive the food 1 and a metallic closure lid 3 for closing the upper opening of the container body 2 and also having a fastening mechanism 4 for fastening and fixing the lid 3 to the container body 2 in a hermetically closed state, so that there is no gap in the container body 2. The upper opening of the container body 2 is closed by the closure lid 3, and the closure lid 3 is fastened and fixed to the container body 2 by the fastening mechanism 4 for hermetically closing the food sterilizing container. The hermetically closed food sterilizing container is placed in a steam convection oven 5 and heated for a predetermined period of time at 120°C or higher.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable powder, even if it is adhesive or weak against water permeation, to be continuously and easily sterilized without harming the quality under a lower temperature by constructing a sterilizer so as to execute a heat process of the powder in heated pressurized mixed gas containing non-condensing gas and steam without using superheated steam. SOLUTION: When powder 3 of food, drug, etc., is to be sterilized, the powder 3 in a powder storage 2 is mixed into no condensing gas 5 passed through a blower 6 and a heater 8 and transported through a restricting nozzle 9 to a heat processor 12. On the other hand, steam 13 and non-condensing gas 14 are supplied to the heat processor 12 through a mixer 15, a blower 16, and a heater 17. The powder 2 is mixed with heated and pressurized mixed gas in the heat processor 12 and heated. The heated powder 3 is transported through a restriction nozzle 11 to a pipeline 24 and mixed with hot wind passed through a blower 21, a filter 22, and a heater 23 and supplied to a dryer main body 25. Then the powder 3 is stored in a tank 27 through a rotary valve 26.
