SOLUTION: Correction coefficients indicating correction degrees further for correction amounts for gradation values indicating intensity of respective color components are stored, and the closer to a maximum intensity, the smaller correction are made. Further, a correction coefficient corresponding to a gradation value is adjusted according to an intensity rate at set color temperature. For example, when a maximum gradation value is 192 according to setting of color temperature, the correction coefficient is adjusted so as to obtain relation shown by a line G2; and when the maximum gradation value is 128, the correction coefficient is adjusted so as to obtain relation shown by a line G3. On the basis of the adjusted correction coefficient, the degree of a correction of an input gradation value is adjusted to make the correction. Consequently, no correction is made when the gradation value is close to the maximum gradation value and the correction is completely made when the gradation value is sufficiently small.
