摘要： PURPOSE: To lessen the spread of an emitted light on the occasion of total reflection on one side and to prevent occurrence of stray light by shortening an optical path from a plane of incidence of the emitted light from an optical fiber to a detecting surface. CONSTITUTION: The part of total reflection of an emitted light from an optical fiber 7, on one side, is brought to the vicinity of the center of this side. At the same time, an optical path of the emitted light falling on a plane 6 of incidence, being reflected totally on one side and reaching a detecting surface 4 is made short. Thereby the width of the spread of the emitted light from the fiber 7 on the occasion when it is reflected totally on one side can be lessened. Accordingly, occurrence of stray light to be caused in a state that a part of the emitted light from the fiber 7 strikes directly on a liquid surface or reaches the side opposite to the liquid surface without passing through the surface can be prevented effectively. On the other hand, the optical path of the light being reflected totally on the detecting surface 4, transmitted and then reflected totally on one side and reaching a plane 5 of emission of the light is set long so that the light reflected totally on the detecting surface 4 may spread over the full width of a detecting part 14 on the plane 5 of emission, and thereby the accuracy of measurement is improved.

In addition, a control circuit board is installed in the chamber 11 and retained by filling up the chamber with an elastomer, such as silicon gel, etc.
