摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert the spigot of a pipe to be connected into the socket of a bayonet pipe joint with decreased inserting force and prevent the inserted pipe from being pulled out of the socket with increased checking force despite a shortened period for preparing the insertion, and stably prevent the spigot from being damaged. SOLUTION: A bayonet pipe joint involves a socket 24 formed in a joint body 23, into which a spigot 22 of a pipe 21 to be connected is inserted, and a pullout prevention ring 33 arranged inside the socket 24. The pullout prevention ring 33 is constituted of segments 35 joined by means of a spring mechanism 34 circumferentially and radially expandable. The segments 35 are stuck on the inner side of the spring mechanism 34 made of a spring steel plate at predetermined intervals. The spring mechanism 34 is formed on the outer side with protrusions at the positions corresponding to the segments 35 stuck on the inner side so as to have the function of radially expanding, and is corrugated at the positions between one segment 35 and the next so as to have the function of circumferentially expanding.

SOLUTION: A connector body incorporating in its front part an elastic seal ring member 6 and a cylindrical annular bushing member 7 has a cut-out window groove 4 and an engaging recess 4' in a groove part formed in the inner peripheral surface of a thick peripheral wall of the rear of the of the connector body. A segmental elastic retainer member 5 provided with an rearward projecting pick-up wall 5' formed in an opening defined by opposite side thick peripheral wall sides, or crossing end edge parts, and an outward convex part on a thin thick peripheral wall side opposing an inclined surface rearward of the rear side surface, or the crossing part, is incorporated in the connector body so that its convex part is fitted in an engaging recess while the pick-up wall is engaged with a groove edge part of the cut-out window groove 4, an annular bulged wall part of a pipe incorporated therein is clamped between the side surface of the thick peripheral wall of the retainer and a bushing member so as to connect the pipe.
