SOLUTION: This polyene (X) has 500-100,000 number-average molecular weight, randomly contains an epoxy group and a double bond in the molecular chain and a hydrolyzable silyl group on the side chain. The polyene is obtained by hydrosilylating a polyene (A) having 500-100,000 number-average molecular weight and containing a double bond, an epoxy group and one 1, 2-vinyl group in the molecular chain and an SiH group-containing organosilicon compound (B) as raw materials in the presence of a catalyst of a transition metal compound of the group 8 (C).

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxidized organic polymer which comprises dispersing or suspending an organic polymer in an organic solvent and epoxidizing the polymer with a peroxide and by which the epoxidized product can be recovered in the form of a solid, and the aftertreatment can be simplified. SOLUTION: In producing an epoxidized organic polymer, a solid organic polymer is dispersed or suspended in an organic solvent, and the polymer is epoxidized with a peroxide being an epoxidizing agent to obtain the purpose polymer. The organic polymer to be epoxidized is particularly desirably a rubbery polymer. Although the organic polymer to be epoxidized may be commercially available pelletized one, it is desirable to perform an effect epoxidation reaction that the pellets are ground to form a powder having a large specific surface area. Examples of the peroxides being epoxidizing agents include peroxycarboxylic acid compounds such as performic acid, peracetic acid and perpropionic acid. To separate and recover the solid product from the suspension, the suspension is subjected to an operation such as filtration or centrifugation.
