    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradation correction device which can generate gradation correction data by accurately reading each patch in a control strip without arranging an additional reference mark.SOLUTION: In a control strip 60 with a plurality of patches arranged in a straight line shape, a white or light-colored patch 61 is given at both ends in a longitudinal direction thereof and a border is drawn on a peripheral edge of the patch 61 of both ends. The border includes two mutually orthogonal straight lines (a fine line (a) and a fine line b orthogonal to the fine line (a)) which define a reference point as an intersection point between them. A position of the reference point is specified by detecting two straight lines on a read image and a position of each patch in the control strip on the read image is specified from the position of the reference point. The gradation correction data is generated by acquiring density data of each patch.
