    • PURPOSE:To prevent passing of a large amt. of generated gas through a sealing layer in a fluidized-bed reactor by providing in a sealing layer a sealing member which can increase the resistance to fluidization of the sealing layer which operates in accordance with the pressure in the fluidized bed. CONSTITUTION:A guide rod 21 can move vertically along long holes 19, 20 without falling off the long holes 19, 20. A check plate 22 made of two heat resisting steel plate formed to reverse V-shape is fixed to the center of the guide rod 21, and the check plate 22 constitutes a vertically movable sealing member together with the guide rod 21. Plural numbers of the sealing member are provided in parallel in a cylindrical space between an internal cylinder 2 and 3, and a parting plate 23 is provided between the internal cylinders 2 and 3. The check plate is expanded toward the fluidized bed 7, and its outside surface at the lower end contacts with the bottom ends of weirs 17, 18.
