    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a lightweight and high-strength shaft. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, a tubular body 18 having a rib 16 in its inside can be obtained. The manufacturing method includes processes of: preparing a mandrel 2 divided into two or more divided bodies d1 along a longitudinal direction of the mandrel 2; winding a prepreg r1 for the rib around at least one divided body d1; making the all divided bodies d1 coalesce with each other to obtain a first intermediary body 10 after the process of winding the prepreg r1 for the rib; winding a prepreg g1 for an outer circumference portion on the outer side of the first intermediary body 10 to obtain a second intermediary body; heating the second intermediary body to obtain a harden laminated body; and pulling the mandrel 2 out of the harden laminated body. Preferably, the mandrel is divided evenly in its circumference. Preferably, in the prepreg r1 for the rib, a winding-start end t2 and a winding-finish end t1 are mutually overlapped.
