Furthermore, a heating balane between a pot 5 and a cover body 31 in heat insulation process is established so that after cooking rice approximately at 2/5 cooking quantity of maximum cooking capacity, a heat insulation process is implemented without opening a cover body 31, and when the cover body 31 is opened after the lapse of 4 to 8 hours of heat insulation time, the quantity of dew condensed on the internal surface of the cover body 31 flowing down to the upper part of a body 1 for housing the pot 5 is equal to or less than 3 mL and the amount of dew condensation on the internal surface of the pot 5 involving no cooked ingredient is equal to or less than 2 mL.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly cook rice by the thermal conductivity of a pot without the lack of heating in a pot side surface part even in a simple shape by one block of induction coils. SOLUTION: A cooker 10 is formed in such a way that the inner side of a side surface lower part 10b is largely inclined by 10 deg.-45 deg. and also a bottom surface part 10a is connected to the side surface lower part 10b in a round shape. Then the induction coil is not required to be divided and arranged in the outer side surface lower part and the bottom part lower surface of an inner frame. Only one block of continuous induction coils 4 and 5 are arranged on the outer surface of the inner frame 2 so that rice is uniformly cooked by the thermal conductivity without the lack of heating in the circumference of the side surface part of the cooker 10.

SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a first cooking function having a polished rice course, a hard cooking course, a soft cooking course, a freshly polished rice course, and a quick cooking course as rice cooking courses and a second cooking function having an unpolished rice course, a 30%-polished rice course, a 50%-polished rice course, a 70%-polished rice course, and a gruel course as rice cooking courses. In the individual rice cooking courses of the first cooking function, the water quantity against the rice quantity is nearly the same. In the individual rice cooking courses of the second cooking function, the water quantity against the rice quantity is larger and the heat quantity after boiling is less than those of the first cooking function. The rice cooking courses of the first cooking function are selected by a menu switch 18, and the rice cooking courses of the second cooking function are selected by a separate health course switch 19.
