    • PURPOSE:To stably convey the originals without completely synchronously between a conveying belt and a drive roller by counting the pulses which the pulse generating part provided to the original conveying belt outputs and controlling the driving of the conveying belt. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end of the original is detected with a switch 4, a counter 22 is reset by way of a waveform shaping circuit 11 and differentiating circuit 12 and at the same time a MD type FF 14 for motor drive is reset, causing a drive roller 1 to be turned by a motor 17 and the original to be conveyed by a conveying belt 2. Then, the pulses by light, etc. by a pulse generating part formed by a slit hole or the like provided to the belt 2 are counted by a counter 22. When the preset number is reached, an FF 14 is reset by the coincident output output by a combination circuit 23, causing the belt 2 to be stopped by the motor M and roller 1. Thereby, the original is stopped stably in the position of a stop claw 5 by the belt 2 even if the slip condition of the roller 1 and belt 2 changes according to environmental conditions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device simple in constitution and capable of executing proper and quick stapling processing for paper sheets of various kinds of sizes on which images are formed at various kinds of variable power rates. SOLUTION: When an original is set in an ADF 3, a binding mode is set and image forming magnification is set for the original by a power setting means, the paper is selected in such a manner that priority is given to the paper having a length in a carrying direction shorter than that in a direction perpendicular to the carrying direction, by a paper selecting means. When the direction of the paper is the same as the original, the image of the original is formed on the paper at the image forming magnification by a variable power image forming means. When the direction of the paper and the original differ by 90 deg., a document image is turned 90 deg., the image of the original is formed on the paper at the image forming magnification. Then, a stapler 6 is moved along the edge parts of the papers stacked on a staple tray 7 by a staple control means, to attain binding at the moved position. A processing time is shortened and a bundle of papers can be bound with a simple constitution without the turning of the paper on which the image is formed and without providing a complicated staple mechanism.

    • PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of many kinds of paper supply cassettes and to prevent miscopying by changing an angle after converting an image into a digital signal. CONSTITUTION: Either one of a front surface image R1 and a back surface image R2 is changed by the angle of 180 deg., and the ideal image is obtained as expressed in the right margin of a row 1. The front surface and back surface images R1 and R2 are respectively changed by the angle of 90 deg. in the same direction, and the ideal image is obtained as expressed in the right margin of a row 2. Then, the front surface image R1 and the back surface image R2 are respectively changed by the angle of 90 deg. in an opposite direction, and the ideal image is obtained as expressed in the right margin of a row 3. By performing image processing such as rotating the front surface image shown in a copying column by 90 deg. counterclockwise and rotating the back surface image clockwise (in the case of viewing from the back surface side) by 90 deg., the image expressed in the right margin is obtained. Furthermore, either the front surface image or the back surface image is changed by 180 deg., the ideal image is obtained as expressed in the right margin of a row 5. Therefore, the up-and-down directions of the front surface and back surface image need not be aligned and the omission of the image is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for preparation of lots of kinds of short side head and long side head type paper feed cassettes by applying digital signal processing to a read picture so as to process the picture. CONSTITUTION:Picture information obtained by irradiating an original D with a fluorescent light 30 is formed on a CCD 6, in which the signal is photoelectric- converted into an analog electric signal. The signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter section and the digital signal is outputted to a processing section, in which angle conversion is executed for 90 deg., 180 deg. to match the direction of recording paper with the signal. Succeedingly a laser diode 31 is lighted by the signal subjected to angle conversion processing and main- scanned by a polygon mirror 32 and a laser beam irradiates a photosensing body 11 to form an electrostatic latent image in response to the picture information. Then a picture visualized by a developer is transferred and fixed onto recording paper and the resulting paper is discharged to a sorter. In the case of the double side copy mode, the recording paper whose one side has a fixed picture is led to a double side unit, in which the paper is turned over and the rear is directed to the photosensing body and the image is transferred onto the rear and fixed and then the resulting paper is discharged.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a mounting characteristic by a method wherein a peripheral device installed in an image forming device has exclusive data for judging the peripheral device, this is judged at the image forming device and the peripheral device being installed at present is judged. CONSTITUTION:Exclusive data signal is prepared for each of the peripheral devices (RDH2, finisher 3), transmitted to a copying machine 1 and in turn the copying machine 1 checks the transmitted data and recognizes what peripheral device is being fixed at present. Transmittance and receiving of data are carried out such that a connection data signal of the peripheral device is sent in response to ON of power supply of the system or a requesting signal from the copying machine 1 (a signal for returning the system to its initial state: the peripheral device transmits peripheral device recognition data to the copying machine 1 after receiving it). Accordingly, the copying machine 1 can automatically recognize the connected peripheral device with the transmitted data. With such an arrangement, it is possible to get an image forming system device having a superior mounting characteristic under a low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To perform stapling processing without lowering the processing speed of an image forming apparatus by mounting a means moving a stapler to a binding position simultaneously with the start of image forming operation when a stapling mode is selected and moving the stapler to the selected binding position first of all when a binding position is same regardless of the size of paper. CONSTITUTION:When the size and direction of recording paper are determined by detecting the size and direction of a manuscript in an image copier A or an automatic manuscript feeder, the signal related to the size and direction of the recording paper is received to move a stapler S and, when copying is partially completed, stapling processing is executed and, until the processing of a necessary number of copies is completed, the stapler S stands by at that position for the next stapling processing. Further, when a stapling mode and a binding position are selected, the signals thereof are sent to a finisher from the image copier A by serial communication and the finisher receives the binding position signal to move the stapler S to the binding position after predetermined timing. By this method, stapling can be efficiently performed without lowering the processing speed of the image copier.
