摘要： PURPOSE:To automatically stop the oil discharge from an oil-chamber when a liquid is not charged into an oil-separation chamber by a method wherein the opening of oil-return pipe which discharges separated oil from the oil-chamber is placed higher than the liquid level of stationary liquid condition. CONSTITUTION:The oil separator 2 consists of a cylindrical oil-separating chamber 9 and an oil-chamber 10 surrounding the chamber 9. Both chambers 9, 10 are connected through a filter-plate 13 at the bottom 9a of a housing 9'. To the side wall of the housing 9', a liquid-inlet pipe 11 is connected in tangent direction. Liquid outlet pipe 12 is brazed to a top lid 9b of the housing 9'. To upper part of the oil-chamber 10, an oil-return pipe 8 is connected, above which is installed a static pressure signal inlet pipe 10b. Liquid sent through the inlet pipe 11 makes a spiral motion to allow oil to be separated by centrifugal force. In the chamber 9, lowered static pressure causes oil in the oil-chamber 10 to be sucked, and oil is discharged from the oil- return pipe 8.
