CONSTITUTION:A hot air temperature is detected by means of a heat detecting sensor 19, and during lowering of a hot air temperature (low air and low combustion), a control circuit 20 drives a drive motor 12 to bring a varying air direction control plate 11 into a down state as shown by 1b. Thus, even under a state in which a hot air temperature is low and an airflow is low, a position in the vicinity of a floor in the vicinity of a hot air outlet 8 of a device body 1 can be heated. Further, when a hot air temperature is below a specified value, the varying air direction control plate 11 blocks (20-50% of the opening area of the hot air outlet 8) the upper part of the hot air outlet 8 as shown by 11c. Thereby, an air velocity is increased to a value 1.2-1.5 times as large as that prevailing when the varying air direction control plate 11 is approximately in a horizontal state, and even if a hot air temperature is low and an airflow is low, hot air can be forced to flow to a far place.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent hot air from blowing directly against one spot for a long period of time, thereby preventing thermal discoloration, by constituting louvers in such a manner as to automatically change their direction to the right and left sides in interlocking with a timer during a burning operation due to the timer. CONSTITUTION:A hot-air outlet port 9 is provided with a fixed louver 10 and a plurality of variable louvers 11 capable of changing the air-flow direction to the right and left sides. The variable louvers 11 are so constituted as to be swayed right and left on the axis of supporting points 14a and 14b by a driving motor 12 via crank shafts 13a and 13b. The driving motor 12 may be turned on or off arbitrarily by an automatic louver-switch, and also, when a timer operation is set by a timer setting switch, the driving motor 12 is constituted so as to be turned on at the same time with the start of the timer operation, without having no relation to a state that the automatic louver-switch is kept on or off. Accordingly, when the timer is operated, the flow of hot air is always swayed right and left, and such hot air does not blow directly against one spot for a long period of time. Therefore, a burn, discoloration or the like can be prevented.

CONSTITUTION:To a combustion burner 4 through a throat supplied, a primary air with a gas from a nozzle by ejector effect is while a secondary air 7 and a convection air 6 from a convection filter are also fed to the burner respectively by the same effect. The air described above are adapted to pass through an air path 11 inside the casing by a line-flow type fan connected to a motor in series after combustion. At the same time, on the midway through the air path 11 a damper 14 is installed, which is made of a shape memory alloy. When the temperature of warm air passing through the air path 11 remains within a fixed temperature, the damper 14 continues to retain the deformed shape produced by a tensile action of a spring 17. However, when the temperature of warm air inside the air path 11 exceeds a specified value, the damper 14 is restored the stored shape, thereby enlarging the cross section of the air path 11.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal overheated condition after stopping of operation by a method wherein a temperature detected by temperature sensing means set in a hot air heater is compared with a set temperature, a cooling method after stopping operation is determined and a convection flow fan is controlled by operation controlling means. CONSTITUTION:When a burner 2 is ignited and a convection flow fan 4 is operated, both hot air and combustion air are sucked from a suction port 5 through a filter 6. Then, hot air is sucked. Hot air is heat exchanged with a heat exchanger 3, mixed with combustion discharging gas and then blown from a blowing port 7 as hot air. After stopping operation, a temperature T1 detected by temperature sensing means 8 is compared with a predetermined temperature Tc by temperature discriminating means 10, and then a temperature T2 detected by temperature sensing means 9 is compared with a predetermined temperature Tf by temperature discriminating means 11. If a relation of T2>=Tf is accomplished, a fan 4 is rotated in its 'strong' step with operation control means 12 in response to a signal from the temperature discriminating means 11 and an inner side of the equipment is cooled. If a relation of T1>=Tc and a relation of T2>=Tf are satisfied, the fan 4 is rotated with 'weak' step and then 4 feeling of cool air is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a probability of clogging a suction port and improve safety by a method wherein a handle part also acting as a guard for the suction port is provided above the suction port which direct upwardly when a main body case is lifted up and falls backward when released. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 10 for a handle 8 is passed through a shaft hole made at the handle 8 and another shaft hole made at a handle accepting part 9, both ends of the handle are larger than the shaft holes and the rotary shaft is prevented from being pulled off. The handle accepting part 9 is comprised of an upper receiving part 9a to cause the handle 8 to be stopped at a position slightly inclined and rearward of a vertical plane when the main body is lifted up and a lower receiving part 9b to cause the handle 8 to be stopped at a horizontal direction when the handle 8 falls backward. The handle receiving part is fixedly attached to a main body case 1. So, it is possible to lift up the hot air heater by grasping the handle 8 and at the same time if the hot air heater is placed on a floor and the handle 8 is removed from the unit, the handle 8 falls back in a horizontal direction by its own weight to act as a guard for a suction port 2a.

A secondary air hole 7 for ensuring an air amount required for formation of the flame 4 is divided into a portion A, wherein the flame rod 6 is present, and a portion B except the portion A. In this case, a size C of the secondary air hole 7 of the portion A wherein the flame rod is present is set to a low value, and a size (b) of the secondary air hole 7 of the non-flame rod portion B is set to a high value. This constitution ensures combustion by taking in a large amount of secondary air at the non-flame rod portion B with regard to combustion during low O2, and a decrease in a current flame current value is reduced at the secondary air hole 7, and takes place at the portion A, which is brought into an approximate deficiency in oxygen state and increased in the change factor of a flame current value to a change in O2.

    • PURPOSE:To keep the temperature distribution in a room even by varying the area of a hot air blow-out opening by means of the rotation of a tongue section by synchronizing in a constant ratio the rotation of a synchronous-motor for the tongue section rotation and the rotation of a fan motor for air blast and providing a control circuit that synchronizes the proportional control of the amount of combustion of a main burner. CONSTITUTION:A tongue section 13 provided at the blow-out opening section of a fan is provided rotatably by a synchronous-motor 14 installed to a case 7. The tongue section 13 of a blast device rotates from a position (a) to a position (b) by the rotation of the synchronous-motor 14. Namely, a width A of the wind passage which is located parallel to the direction of the blast changes to a width B of the wind passage which somewhat obstructs the blast passage. Consequently resistance to the blast passage can be changed and also the amount of the blast can be changed. Further, it is possible to suppress the variation in blast speed in a hot air room heater to a low value and keep constant the temperature distribution in a room by controlling proportionally and synchronously the action of the synchronous-motor for changing the blast volume of said blast device to the rotation of a fan for air blast and the amount of combustion of a main burner by a control circuit 8.
