      SOLUTION: The gas meter having an automatic recovery function for automatically recovering a cutoff valve 6 closed by the occurrence of a cutoff event to an open state comprises a storage means (RAM) 4 for storing the type of cutoff events; a determining means (CPU) 2a for determining whether a specific type of cutoff event in cutoff event types stored in the storage means (RAM) 4 has occurred by at least a preset count in a prescribed period; and a control means (CPU) 2b for setting only to a specific type of cutoff event so that the automatic recovery function becomes effective, when it is determined that a specific type of cutoff event has occurred by at least a preset count in a prescribed period by the determining means (CPU) 2a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter composed so as to ensure return of valve opening at closing and opening gas. SOLUTION: The gas meter 15 comprises a flow rate measurement means 20, an indication means 27, a cutoff means 21, differential pressure measurement means 22, 23 and a control means 25. The flow rate measurement means 20 measures gas flow rate flowing through a gas passage. The indication means 27 indicates the gas flow rate measured by the flow rate measurement means 20. The cutoff means 21 cuts off the gas passage. The pressure difference measurement means 22 and 23 measure the differential gas pressures between the upstream side and the downstream side of the cutoff means 21. The control means 25 periodically starts the differential pressure measurement means 22 and 23 at a closing mode with the cutoff means 21 closed and causes the indication means 27 to indicate an abnormal alarm showing an abnormal state of the differential pressure when the measure differential pressure exceeds a predetermined abnormal differential pressure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal fuse valve which can perform proper shutoff motion certainly by preventing dislocation of the valve element when a bearing member is melted. SOLUTION: A thermal fuse valve 21 is equipped with a valve seat 27 provided in a gas supply passage 30 in a tubular housing 25, a spherical valve element 23 to shut the passage 30 when it is seated on the seat 27, a compression coil spring 24 to energize the valve element 23 toward the seat 27, a spring receptacle 26 to support the base end of the spring 24, and a bearing 22 to bear the valve element 23 in a position apart from the seat 27 against the energizing force of the spring 24. The bearing 22 has a plurality of supporting projections 22b protruding toward the center line of the seat 27, and each supporting projection 22b reduces its wall thickness gradually toward the foremost which abuts to and supports the spherical surface of the valve element 23.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent such a situation that shutting-off is impossible because a gas shutoff valve has not been operated for a long time. CONSTITUTION:A means 60a outputs a signal which indicates the state of a gas shutoff valve 60 on a gas supply route 1a, and a first timer 5b1 starts time count when it detects any change in the state signal, and a second timer 5b2 starts time count in accordance with the first timer's time count. If a detecting means 5c detects use of no gas on the downstream side until the second timer finishes time count of a certain time, a valve control means 5d generates a valve control signal for opening/closing the gas shutoff valve. If gas is still used after the second timer finishes its time count, a warning means issues a warning of that event. In this case, a signal for opening or closing the shutoff valve is generated by manual operation of means 7a, 8a. Detection whether gas is used or not is carried out by monitoring flux pulse signals dispatched by a gas meter in accordance with gas supply.
