    • PURPOSE:To improve correction precision of right and left circumferential parts on a screen by making the holding period for the correction value of the start of a horizontal scanning-directional read longer than that for the end point of the read. CONSTITUTION:The convergence correction value of each fixed adjustment point is written in one-frame memory 10 by way of data reversible counter 11. Here, read address control part 5 is so formed that the holding period for the correction value of the start point of a horizontal scanning-directional read will be longer than that of the end point of the read. Therefore, the waveform of a convergence current read out of memory 10 and flowing through convergence coil 17 after D/A conversion includes no rounding of waveform due to a sudden waveform change. As a result, the correction values of right and left circumferential parts on the screen are sufficient all the time, so that corrections can be made with high precision.

    • PURPOSE:To make highly efficient correction, by connecting a horizontal linearity correction coil magnetic-biased in series with two of horizontal deflection coils and making the horizontal linearity correction inversely with each other by means of the horizontal linearity coils. CONSTITUTION:A blue color horizontal linearity correction coil 22 is connected in series with a blue color horizontal deflection coil 12, a red color horizontal linearity correction coil 23 is connected in series with a red color horizontal deflection coil 14, and the coils 22, 23 are magnetic-biased with magnets in advance. The coil 22 extends the first half of the scanning of the deflection current and contracts the latter half, while the coil 23 is magnetic-biased reversingly, thereby contracting the first half and extending the latter half of the deflection current. Thus, the blue and red rasters can be changed and they can be almost coincided with the horizontal linearity of green color raster in a synthesized picture.
