摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the degree of sharpness and obtain a high resolution picture, through mechanism of independently adjusting the convergence of red and blue pictures and provision of a projection tube for a green color whose electron lens magnification is reduced. CONSTITUTION:Correction current is applied to convergence coils 7-1 and 7-3 using correction circuits R-H16, R-V17, G-H18, and G-V19 and red and blue pictures are independently moved in both horizontal and vertical directions, respectively. The pictures are overlapped with a green picture to adjust convergence. By adopting such a convergence adjustment system, the convergence coils are not required in a projection tube for a green color.

Here, read address control part 5 is so formed that the holding period for the correction value of the start point of a horizontal scanning-directional read will be longer than that of the end point of the read. Therefore, the waveform of a convergence current read out of memory 10 and flowing through convergence coil 17 after D/A conversion includes no rounding of waveform due to a sudden waveform change. As a result, the correction values of right and left circumferential parts on the screen are sufficient all the time, so that corrections can be made with high precision.

The coil 22 extends the first half of the scanning of the deflection current and contracts the latter half, while the coil 23 is magnetic-biased reversingly, thereby contracting the first half and extending the latter half of the deflection current. Thus, the blue and red rasters can be changed and they can be almost coincided with the horizontal linearity of green color raster in a synthesized picture.
