    • PURPOSE:To simplify software and to make the contents of memories coincident by providing a means transferring all data of oneself to other memories by means of the transfer means of a common bus if a memory receives a transfer request and becomes a transfer source. CONSTITUTION:If a CPU5a reads data, data is read from a shared memory device 1a which is connected to the input output bus of oneself. If the CPU5a writes data in the shared memory, data is written only in the shared memory device 1a. When data is written at such a time, the shared memory device 1a holds an address and data at that time, and outputs a write request to the common bus 6 at a timing different from that the CPU5a writes. When the exclusive right of the common bus 6 is obtained, said device outputs the address and data which have been held on the common bus 6. Furthermore, it outputs the write signal and executes writing until all the shared memory device 1a-1d including oneself. Consequently, data in all the shared memory devices coincide after a prescribed time.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent other input/output request from being too much awaited by applying input/output request scanning of other CPU when no detailed information exists after the I/O completes its operation and inhibiting the input/ output request scanning of the other CPU in case of the presence so as to shorter the bus occupied time. CONSTITUTION:A host adapter A103 starts a sense command, a SEL1 is turned on and a BSY2 is set by a controller 106, a FFCLR9 is set and the FF40 is cleared and a switching suppression B8 is reset. In this case, since the switching suppression A9 is set already, no bus is switched and a sense command is executed by the similar procedure as the read command from the disk and the error detailed information is sent to the adapter 103. When the sense command is finished, the bus switching is restarted, the adapter 104 accepts the set SEL11 to execute the command. If the sense command is not started from the adapter 103 for a prescribed period, the output FFCLR9 of the one-short multivibrator 41 is set by a time constant, the FF40 is cleared, the switching suppression B8 is reset and the bus switching is restarted.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce reference to a directory remarkably and speed up associative action for continuous plural data by storing plural data to be retrieved in a retrieval data memory in an associative memory, comparing higher part of a retrieval data and corresponding higher part of data in the data memory, and comparing the whole parts when the two coincide. CONSTITUTION:In the case where the number of data in the directory is N, and the number of retrieval data is K, it was hitherto necessary to refer to a directory NK/2 times on an average until all retrieval is completed. However, when the value of the power of 2 found by a comparator at negligible number of bits and the number of retrieval data coincide, whole retrieval is completed by retrieving the directory 2N times and retrieving the retrieval data memory K(K+1)/2 times at a maximum. Generally, N is greater than K. For instance, when N is 1000 and K is 8, average number of times of the directory before this invention was 4000 times. On the contrary, after execution of this invention, 2000 times of reference of the directory and 36 times reference of the retrieval data memory at a maximum become sufficient.

    • PURPOSE:To solve the start-stop problems of a storage device easily, by providing the storage device side with a signal which is set in power recovery and reset when a mechanism is held in readiness or on OR conditions after the power recovery processing time of the mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Durting date reading operation, read data 13 from a driving device (mechanism) 10 is stored in a data buffer memory 7 via a control circuit 9 and then sent to a channel 2. Information showing an error of the mechanism 10 is set in a status register 8 via the control circuit and also sent to the channel 2. A power recovery detector 17, on the other hand, detects the starting of an AC power source to output a pulse and then sets an FF20 and also starts a timer 18; when its output 8-1 or the ready signal 16 of the mechanism 10 goes up to 1, the output of the FF20 is passed through an OR gate 19 and inputted to the channel 2 through the register 8. A computer decides on the bits of the register 8 to decide on whether a not-ready signal originates from the power recovery processing or not, performing necessary processing.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid the loss of whole data and at the same time to preserve the latest data, by copying all data to an auxiliary storage device of the backup side immediately after the read errors of a disk occure successively. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic storage device M consists of a magnetic disk device 2, an auxiliary storage device 3 which obtains a backup copy of the device 2 and a controller 4 which controls these devices 2 and 3. The controller 4 detects the presence or absence of a read error of the data when the data is read out of the device 2. Then a retrial action is carried out for reading of the data when an error is detected, and the data of the device 2 is copied to the device 3 when the consecutive frequency of the retrials exceeds a prescribed level. Such device M is connected to a computer 1. Thus an error if occurs during a copying action can be discriminated at the computer side to avoid carrying out a wrong process of data.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a hair dryer which eliminates the need for removing the cap flange while improving the apearance of the flange mount section. CONSTITUTION:A cap 11 fitted with a grill 12 on the bottom is mounted securely on a hot air outlet 4 of the body case 1 through a screw 15. A flange 8 is formed on the opening of the cap 7 and in the mounting of the cap, it is brought into contact with a stepped face 2 of the outlet 4. A face ring 10 extends a blade 11 smaller in diameter than the outer diameter of the cap from the inner periphery while forms a relief section 13 on the back in such a manner as to house the flange 8. It is mounted to the cap inserted thereinto covering the flange 8 and then, the blade 11 is fastened to a face ring fixing notch 9 provided on the cap. In other words, the face ring 10 can be used to conceal the flange thereby eliminating previous work for removing the flange after a pressing in the press process. In addition, the face ring 10 makes a part of the decoration for the hot air outlet 4 thereby improving the beauty in the design.
