    • PURPOSE:To detect torque with high accuracy without receiving the influence of noises by providing passages for light to a rotating shaft, making light pulses incident from one end of the light passages, detecting the exit light from the other end, and calculating torsional angles (torque) from the difference in time between the signals of the input and exit light. CONSTITUTION:A main optical path 10 and an incident light path 13 consisting of optical fibers are provided in a hole 16 provided in the central part of a power transmission shaft 5, and further photodetecting paths 11, 12 are provided. The pulse light of a period T2 from a light source 6 enters the path 13 and is partly reflected by a semitransparent mirror 14. This reflected light is made incident through the path 11 to a phototransistor (PT)7. The rest is made incident via the path 10, a total reflection mirror 15, and the path 12 to PT8. The torsional angle theta of the shaft 5 is determined by theta=2piT/T2 from the time interval T and period T2 of the phase difference pulses of the output signals of the PTs 7 and 8. Thus the torque is determined with high accuracy without receiving the influence of noises.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent drop of oil level in the neighborhood of the guide bearing of oil supply device for a vertical type large high-speed motor etc. by providing two or more ring-shaped disc between the guide bearing and a thrust plate with a sleeve and an appropriate gap, protruding in the radial direction from the thrust plate.
      CONSTITUTION: Ring-shaped discs 6 are arranged in steps axially and fixed to a bearing housing 42. The sinking oil level in the neighborhood of a boss 55 caused by discharge oil following rotation of a thrust plate 12 is restituted by feedback of the oil following discharge through a cooling device 8, gap between the upper ring- shaped disc 6 and lower ring-shaped disc, and gap of sleeve 11. The oil between the guide bearing 5 and upper ring-shaped disc 6 is not influenced by the drop of oil level following rotation of the thrust plate 12, so that the oil level is prevented from sinking and scrape-up refill of oil with the boss 55 can be made smoothly.

The light signal energy transmitted from the central control part 1 to each end control part 2a, 2b... will, thus, become uniformly 1/2 by designing so that the divergence connectors 3a, 3b... divide the light signal energy equally.

    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten the device by decreasing weight while facilitating manufacture and installation, by vertically mounting a plurality of shielding plates, whose length differs, to a lower surface of a lower main plate of an intake port of the ventilating device. CONSTITUTION:Two shielding plates 21, 22 are vertically installed to a lower surface of a lower main plate 9 in a ventilation flue 15 formed by means of a flange 12 and a cover 14 disposed to a lower portion of a motor, the outside shielding plate 21 is shorter than the inside plate 22 and is mounted at the outer circumferential side of a ventilating port 11 installed to the lower main plate 9, and the inside shielding plate 22 is disposed near a center portion of the ventilating port 11. Both the two shielding plates 21, 22 are cylindrical, are made up in length in the axial direction that fixed clearances are each built up among the plates and the flange 12, and are made up so that longitudinal and positional relationship be formed which waterdrops and foreign matters each do not enter from the outside of this rotary electric machine. Thus, its weight can be reduced, the whole device can be miniaturized and lightened, and production and installation threrof can be facilitated.
