    • PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material having three functions of light-sensing, pressure-sensing and heat-sensing functions, by a method wherein capsules incorporating a vinyl compound, a photopolymerization initiator, a foaming agent and one of color forming components and the other of the color forming components are applied to the same side of a base. CONSTITUTION:The vinyl compound is a compound containing one or more vinyl or vinylidene groups, and is, for example, polyethylene glycol diacrylate or methyl methacrylate. The photopolymerization initiator is a compound capable of initiating polymerization of the vinyl compound when irradiated with light, and is, for example, an aromatic ketone or a quinone compound. The foaming agent is a nitroso base compound, a sulfohydrazide base compound or the like, and is capable of generating heat by decomposing when being heated, thereby breaking the capsule. The color forming components are, for example, a combination of a leuco dye and an electron-acceptive compound, one of which is incorporated in the capsule together with the vinyl compound, the photopolymerization initiator and the foaming agent, and the capsules are applied to the base together with the other of the color forming components and a binder or the like.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a black ink composition that does not require addition of a large amount of a color correction dye or another color correction dye, develops prints of excellent black tone and high density, has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, water resistance (no bleeding), excellent hue and liquid stability and comprises a water-soluble short-wave dye S and a water-soluble long-wave dye L and an ink set containing the same and to provide an inkjet recording method using them. SOLUTION: The black ink composition comprises a water-soluble short-wave dye S exhibiting the absorption spectrum maximum in an aqueous solvent at wavelength of 440-540nm and the half-width at wavelength of 90-200nm and a water-soluble long-wave dye L exhibiting the absorption spectrum maximum in an aqueous solvent at wavelength of 550-700nm and half-width at wavelength of ≥100nm. The ink set contains the black ink composition. The inkjet recording method comprises forming an image by using the black ink composition or the ink set on an image receiving material having an ink-receiving layer containing white inorganic pigment particles on a substrate.
