    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for a vehicle, which can reduce its calorific value and its cost, which can prevent its output voltage from becoming excessively high even when a field current does not flow, and which is provided with a magnet. SOLUTION: In an AC generator 1 for a vehicle, a stator 2, a rotor 3, a frame 4, a voltage regulator 7, a pulley 8 and a clutch 9 are provided. In the rotor 3, a permanent magnet 37 is interposed and placed between a claw part 36 and a claw part 36, and its magnetization is increased in a low-speed rotation region. The upper-limit speed of rotation of the rotor 3 is set at a prescribed value by the clutch 9. When the rotor 3 is turned at the upper-limit speed of rotation in a state that no current flows to a field winding 31 at the rotor 3, the permanent magnet 37 is selected in such a way that the output voltage of the AC generator 1 for the vehicle agrees nearly with a battery charging voltage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternator for a vehicle, in which the noise of a fan is low, which achieves a small shape and a high output even under a high- temperature ambient environment and which is excellent in terms of costs. SOLUTION: The alternator 1 for a vehicle comprises a stator 2, a rotor 3 and frames 4, 5. A plurality of intake holes 41, 51 are formed in end parts in the axial direction at the frames 4, 5, and a plurality of exhaust holes 42, 52 are formed in the outer circumferential part. Base parts of cooling fans 11, 14 are brought into contact with both side faces of the magnetic pole core 7 of the rotor 3. The number of blades of the respective fans is smaller than the number of claws of the magnetic pole core 7 with which the fans are brought into contact. The blades have curved surfaces, and they are formed at equal pitches in the circumferential direction. No rib is formed at the blades and the base parts. The stator 2 is provided with a stator core 32 comprising a plurality of slots and with a plurality of conductor segments which are housed in the respective slots. Coil ends 31 which are connected to the conductor segments so as to constitute a winding are situated at side faces in the axial direction of the stator core 32. The respective conductor segments at the coil ends 31 are dispersed and separated mutually so as to have gaps.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for a vehicle without causing problems such as a temperature rise or the like with excellent cost performance, by preventing a stop of generation due to an electric short-circuit in a stator slot due to watering from an exterior. SOLUTION: A stator of an AC generator for a vehicle has electric conductors 3 for forming a stator core 32 and a stator coil, and insulators 34 for electrically insulating between the core and the conductors, and is supported by a frame. Many slots having openings 35 are formed on an inner peripheral side of the core 32. And, a magnetic flux collection protrusion 36 is formed at a tooth tip between the slots. An areal ratio of a sectional area 37 of the slot of the outer peripheral side from the protrusion 36 to a total area of the space gap 38 except the conductors 33 and the insulators 34 of substantially the same in sectional shapes in and out of the slots is set to become 25% or less.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for vehicle at a low cost, which is small- sized and high-powered and increases its output, especially in a low rotational speed range, and has little noise. SOLUTION: A stator 2 of an AC generator for vehicle is formed with a number of slots having an opening part 35 on its inner periphery side, a protruding part 36 for magnetic flux collection is formed in a circumferential direction at a tip part between adjacent slots, and they have been formed beforehand by means of press processing or the like in the storage of a thin steel plate. A stator winding 33 has a diameter larger than the width of the slot opening part 35, and the tip of a conductor is inserted in the slot from one side surface in the axial direction of a stator iron core 32 to be taken out to the other side surface, and pulled out to the original side from the slot corresponding to an electrical angle of 180 degrees. By having this procedure repeated, a single-phase winding is formed. By having the electrical angle shifted by 120 degrees each, a three-phase AC winding is constituted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the module and the decelerate ratio of the gear of a planetary gear decelerating device to specified values so as to further miniaturize the device and its weight by providing a first impact buffer device for suppressing impacts produced when a pinion is engaged with a ring gear and a second impact buffer device for suppressing impacts produced during clanking. SOLUTION: When engaging impacts occur during engaging between a ring gear and a pinion 65, since the size of reaction torque transmitted to an internal gear 44 is set lower than the permissible bending strength of the gear, which is necessary for going over a recessed and projecting fitting part 7, the internal gear 44 is rotated, the impacts are cut to be lower than the gear permissible bending strength and converted into friction heat in the recessed and projecting fitting part 7. Friction forces produced in diameter and peripheral directions are absorbed by the twisting or deformation of the cylindrical part of the internal gear 44, and thus repeated impact forces reaching inner teeth 45 during clanking are reduced. Thus, since two forms of impact absorption are realized, a module ratio is set lower than 1 and a speed reducing ratio is set over 6.
