By this, a piston 5 moves in the direction of interrupting the communication between the control passage 31 and the discharge path 41, and stops when a driven force formed of a pressure difference in a slide valve 2 and the drive force of the piston produced by pressure differences in the cylinder chambers 12 and 13 are balanced with each other. Thus, since the piston 5 and, accordingly, the slide valve 2 follows up the pilot valve element 21, the axial position of the slide valve 2 is determined by the axial position of the pilot valve element 21.
