摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not disturb a monochrome image passing through a separation part, when a monochrome image is outputted, that is, a transfer material conveying means is separated from an intermediate transfer body by maintaining positioning accuracy when a color image is formed, with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The transfer material conveying means 15 is separated from the intermediate transfer belt 6 by the movement of a secondary transfer roller 28, when a mode 1 for outputting the monochrome image is operated. A black toner image formed on a photoreceptor 1B is transferred to a transfer paper on a transfer paper conveying belt 8, to be conveyed and pass through the separation part. A drive roller 17 supporting the intermediate transfer belt 6 and the secondary transfer roller 28 are grounded to have a predetermined potential and the black toner image passes through without being disturbed and scattered by a gap electric field.
