    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PTFE insulated conductor cable, capable of preventing a dent due to application of pressure or a scratch while maintaining the advantages of high porosity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing an insulated conductor, an insulator composed of an inner layer formed of a porous portion having a porous structure and an outer layer formed of a solid portion having a solid structure is formed around a core conductor through the steps of: forming a pre-porous portion by compression-molding a PTFE mixture body which is a mixture of PTFE resin powder and a pore-forming agent into a cylindrical shape; manufacturing a pre-solid portion by arranging PTFE resin powder on the circumference side of the pre-porous portion and applying compression molding thereto; extrusion-coating, after obtaining a pre-molding in which the pre-solid portion is arranged on the circumference of the pre-porous portion, the pre-molding on the circumference of a central conductor; removing the pore-forming agent; and baking.
