SOLUTION: A worm gear reduction mechanism has housings 21, 22 made by a casting method such as aluminum die cast or the like. A worm wheel 12 has a tooth part 12a formed of a synthetic resin. The housings 21, 22 are impregnated with resin. This fills with the impregnation fine pin holes and blow holes formed by the casting method of the housings 21, 22, thereby enhancing the sealing properties of the worm gear reduction mechanism.

SOLUTION: In the actuator for deflecting light from an optical source, components such as a gear mechanism 44 and a printed circuit board 45 are placed in a case 41 made of resin, and the peripheral edge 41a of the case 41 has a step-like rib 418 for supporting the printed circuit board 45 on the inner surface side, and has a relative rib 419 with a recessed groove 41b on the outer surface side. By forming the relative rib 419, warping in the case 41 is suppressed and an increase of the outer size of the case 41 is prevented to miniaturize the case. By forming a gear of the gear mechanism 44 of resin having a self-lubrication property, the gear mechanism does not require grease and fogging caused by the grease is prevented. CONSTITUTION: A tapered roller bearing 4 which is inserted into the inside diameter of a light alloy case 1 and supports a shaft 2 is provided with an appropriate clearance in the axial direction in an outer race 4a by a retainer 5, which is fastened to the case 1 by a bolt, via a shim 6 and a ring spacer. In this case, the spacer is composed of the first space piece 8, which is made of a material having large thermal expansion coefficient and provided with a tapered face radially outward, and the second space piece 9, which is made of a material having small thermal expansion coefficient and engaged with the tapered face of the first space piece 8 radially inward. This constitution allows to absorb the difference in thermal expansion between the case 1 and the shaft 2.
