A quantity of projection of the rotary tool TX from the tool holder 20X is denoted as a tool projection quantity L1X, and the shortest distance between the tool holder 20X and a wall part 3 in an X-axis direction is denoted as an interference distance L2X. The tool fitting fixture 21 includes a wrench part 210 having an engagement part 210a capable of engaging the engaged part 201Xa, a gauge part 211 arranged at a predetermined reference distance L3 from the wrench part 210, and a connection part 212 connecting the wrench part 210 and the gauge part 211 to each other. The reference distance L3 is so set that when the tool projection quantity L1X is equal to or larger than the interference distance L2X, the engagement part 210a cannot engage the engaged part 201Xa.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which has a simple structure and facilitates attachment and detachment of a tool.SOLUTION: The tool holder includes a substantially cylindrical tool holder body 10 housing a collet chuck 12 and a sleeve, the substantially cylindrical collet chuck 12 having a tapered surface on its outer periphery and a plurality of slits on its side face, a holder cap 11 fixed detachably to the front part of the tool holder body 10, the hollow, cylindrical sleeve having a tapered inner peripheral surface, and a press means which presses the sleeve by liquid pressure. The sleeve may be provided with a plurality of concentrically arranged sleeves. No rotating force is applied to the collet chuck 12, and a force-enhancing effect using liquid pressure is exerted. Hence the tool holder allows a tool to be attached and detached with a weak force.
