    • PURPOSE: To reduce a filling coefficient around a sample and to improve S/N at the same time by a construction wherein at least a part of a high frequency coil is brought into thermally-conductive contact with s cooled platform. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency receiving coil 3 is disposed in vacuum 6 and is in thermal contact with a cooled platform 7 or a cooled finger 8 projecting from the platform 7. The platform 7 is cooled by a heat exchanger 9 through which a refrigerant 5 circulates. An outer wall 10 of a resonance space is also in thermal contact with the cooled platform 7 and, therefore, located in a place of low temperature. A measuring head 14 and a sample 1 are inserted into a uniform magnetic field of a magnetic field 2 and the sample 1 rotates on a cushion of compressed air of room temperature. The temperature of the sample 1 is maintained by a gas flow and this gas flow circulates around the sample 1 and is introduced into the measuring head 14 through a duct 15. By a high frequency receiving winding device, in this way, a filling coefficient around the sample is reduced, a receiving system is made to operate at a low temperature, at the same time, and thereby an S/N ratio is improved.
