    • PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a turbine, by a method wherein, in a device which guides a part of air, compressed by a compressor, as cooling air to a turbine impeller, plural water spray devices, controlled according to the output of a turbine, are located in an air cooling cylinder through which the compressed air flows. CONSTITUTION:Air, compressed by a compressor 2, is guided to a combustor 3 by a gas turbine 1, and high temperature high pressure gas, generated by the combustor 3, is fed to a turbine 4. In which case, an intermediate support plate 13 for the combustor is installed in an annular manner to a combustor chamber 10, the interior of the combustor chamber 10 is partitioned into the combustor body side and the combustor tail cylinder 14 side, and a cooling air chamber 30 is formed on the combustor tail cylinder 14 side. An air cooling cylinder 5, extending through the intermediate support plate 13 and being open to the combustor body side and the tail cylinder 14 side, is mounted in the combustor chamber 10, and plural water spray devices 6 are positioned in the cylinder 5. Each water spray device 6 is connected to a water feed source 9 through on-off valves 8-1-8-3 respectively controlled by a controller 81.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect of turbine blades, by cooling air efficiently by injecting water and utilizing compressed air as primary air only when the temperature of compressed air used for cooling the turbine blades is higher than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A gas turbine 1 is composed of a compressor 2, a combustor 3, a turbine 4, etc., and a temperature detector 6 and water injection means 5 are provided in a cooling-air chamber 12 defined in a combustor chamber 11. The water injection means 5 is connected o a water supply source 9 disposed on the outside of the gas turbine 1 via a pipe 8, and a valve 7 disposed at an intermediate portion of the pipe 8 is controlled by a controller 10. Further, primary air is supplied from a high-pressure air source 34 to the water injection means 5 via a pipe 33, and a valve 32 disposed at an intermediate portion of the pipe 33 is also controlled by the controller 10. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to cool air efficiently by opening the valves 32, 7 sequentially when the temperature of air in the cooling-air chamber 12 is higher than a prescribed value.

At an intermediate portion of the pipe 5, there is provided an injection means 6 which is connected to a water supply source 9 via a pipe 7. Further, a valve 8 is provided at an intermediate portion of the pipe 7. With such an arrangement, air is cooled by injecting water from the injection means 6 into a part of air compressed by the compressor 2 and carried to the outside of the gas turbine 1 via the pipe 5. That is, turbine blades of the turbine 4 are cooled by the cooling air.

    • PURPOSE:To control a gap between a rotor blade tip and a fin fitted to a seal ring by using low temperature or high temperature steam passing a vortex tube to heat or cool the seal ring. CONSTITUTION:Main steam is guided to a vortex tube 22 through a control valve 43 and divided into high temperature steam and low temperature steam. By switching transfer valves 45, 46, the low temperature steam or high temperature steam is guided to a distribution pipe 40 and sprayed to a seal ring 39. The other high temperature or low temperature steam is heat-recovered through a control valve 44 by a discharge system or a water feed system. A gap 42 between a rotor blade tip and a fin 38 is measured by a gap sensor 41, and control valves 43, 44 are controlled so as to minimize the gap 42.
