摘要： PURPOSE:To attain quick braking by forming many protrusions in both obverse and reverse surfaces of a sheet, having a width brought into contact with a wheel and predetermined tensile strength withstanding braking, serving as the braking sheet, and moving this sheet between the wheel and a road surface at the time of braking on a snow road or the like. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 11 is strong kicked, a normal brake device is actuated and also turning a shaft 6 through a link lever 13 and a drive lever 10. In this way, a braking sheet 3 is pressed to a wheel 14 by a retaining roller 9, and the braking sheet 3 is drawn out and inserted between the ground surface 16 and the wheel 14 by rotating the wheel 14 so as to apply a brake. In a brake device thus mentioned, the braking sheet 3, having at least a width brought into contact with the wheel, is formed by providing many protrusions 15a, 15b of shape with large friction resistance against moving in one direction and small friction resistance against moving in an opposite direction in both obverse and reverse surfaces of the sheet provided with predetermined tensile strength withstanding braking.

Friction resistance is remarkably increased as compared with the conventional system using only wheels, and the vehicle can be stopped in a shorter braking distance as a result.
