摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively optically resolve an optical isomer mixture such as amino acids by using a polymer membrane containing an optically active anionic high molecular compound as an optically active high molecular composite membrane. SOLUTION: The polymer composite membrane containing the anionic high molecular compound is formed by using the optically active anionic high molecular compound as a supporting electrolyte. As the optical isomer mixture optically resolved by the optically active high molecular composite membrane, the amino acid mixture is preferably resolved and the composite membrane is particularly useful for the optical resolution of L-triptophane from D- tryptophan. In such a case, the optically active high molecular composite membrane can be used for the optical resolution in the form of a laminated membrane formed by being laminated with another membrane. Further, the optically active high molecular composite membrane is used for the optical resolution by the adsorption or the optical resolution and an affinity electrode by impressing voltage to the optically active high molecular composite membrane so as to be permeated.

A racemic compound source solution being a compound to be split is brought into contact with the one surface of the obtd. optical splitting membrane, while the other surface of the membrane is maintained as vacant. The membrane is intermittently washed with the washing solution so that the optically active material selectively adsorbed to the inside of the membrane is recovered in the washing solution.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a surface-modified coated membrane which is stable and resistant to surfactants, solvents and detergents such as an alkaline alkali as well as the method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION: A surface-modifying polymer substance of a chlorohydrin derivative of hydroxypropylcellulose is activated in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst. The solution thereof is allowed to contact and react with a surface of a support membrane of polysulfone which is a hydrophobic polymer, thereby the said chlorohydrin derivative is irreversibly adsorbed on to essentially all of the surface area of the support membrane thus subjected to a surface- modification. A chlorohydrin group in the chlorohydrin derivative is converted into a corresponding epoxide and then a cross-linked hydroxypropylsellulose coating is formed by the cross-linking reaction via the epoxide. The obtained membrane has a uniformly cross-linked single layer of hydroxypropylcellulose resistant to a detergent such as alcohol.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a membrane having high strength by spreading a solution prepared by dissolving cyclodextrin or a derivative thereof in a solvent along with a high-molecular compound having film forming function and a plasticizer on a support to dry the same. CONSTITUTION:1mol of a high-molecular compound having film forming function such as polyvinyl alcohol, about 5-50mol of an org. acid ester type plasticizer such as dioctyl phthalate and about 1-20mol of cyclodextrin or a derivative thereof are dissolved in water or an org. solvent such as tetrahydrofran. This solution is spread on a support such as a glass plate, a Teflon(R) plate or a metal plate and dried to obtain a membrane. Herein, the plasticizer prevents the separation of the high-molecular compound and cyclodextrin. By this method, a single membrane having cyclodextrin held therein and usable as a high strength membrane is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a dialyzing membrane supremely excellent in bio- compatibility by a method wherein the membrane obtained by adding a predetermined amt. of a di-lower alkylamino lower alkyl cellulose to an aq. solution of copper ammonia cellulose is brought into contact with an aq. solution of heparin having a predetermined concn. CONSTITUTION:A di-lower alkylamino lower alkyl cellulose (e.g. dimethylaminomethyl cellulose, dimethylaminoethyl cellulose and diethylaminoethyl cellulose having 1-4 carbon atoms) is added to an aq. solution of copper ammonia cellulose in an amt. of 0.1-5wt.% based on the weight of cellulose. The mixture of the aq. solutions thus obtained is formed into a membrane and the resulting cellulose membrane is brought into contact with an aq. solution of heparin having a concn. of 0.05-3wt./vol.%, whereby the heparin is adsorbed on the cellulose membrane by ionic bond. In this way a dialyzing membrane superb in bio-compatibility and capable of producing a prolonged excellent antithrombotic effect can be obtained.

A solution of a racemic compound can be brought into contact with pure water through the produced membrane to elute and separate only either of the D- and L-forms into the pure water. A container is preferably divided into upper and lower parts with the aforementioned membrane and the solution of the racemic compound is poured into the upper part.
