    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically integrate field devices in a distributed automation system.SOLUTION: Each field device is first connected to a bus system of an automation system, and is then automatically addressed by a superordinate controller using a predefined default address by a first routine which operates automatically. In the system, its device address is registered and a fixed address which is provided from a multiplicity of unassigned addresses from an address memory is automatically allocated to the device registered in the system by a second routine which operates automatically. An individually assigned identification TAG provided from the predetermined configuration of the automation system is allocated to the allocated fixed address, and, after the automatically allocated fixed address has been transmitted to the field device, the field device is changed to a suitable state for communication with the superordinate controller.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual port Ethernet communication device which allows data received via any one communication port to be bypassed to the other communication port. SOLUTION: Since this Ethernet communication device directly performs such a bypass operation, the communication data is transmitted to a mating terminal even if the terminal equipped with the Ethernet communication device can not operate normally due to a cause such as a failure. In particular, when the Ethernet communication device is used in each terminal forming a closed loop in a normally-closed loop system of a power system, the communication on the closed loop is maintained, and thereby the adjacent terminal promptly performs a backup interrupt function even if a trouble happens in a specific terminal forming the closed loop.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a transmission-impossible time in each transmission path caused by changing a clock source to a device of a different transmission path even when a system is made to have a configuration in which a plurality of transmission paths are connected to each other.
      SOLUTION: In an audio signal processing system including first and second networks connected to each other through a bridge device, the bridge device operates as a slave in the first network and as a master in the second network. When the second network is reset, the bridge device starts operating as a slave in the second network. Then, when continuous reception of an audio transmission frame that another device operating as a master in the second network has transmitted is started, the bridge device resets the first network and starts operating as a master in the first network (S174).
