    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having improved uniformity and efficiency of light emission, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The display device includes: a front substrate 120 and a rear substrate 110 arranged to face each other; a phosphor layer 114 applied on the inner surface of the rear substrate; a first sustaining electrode 121a and a second sustaining electrode 121b arranged apart from each other on the inner surface of the front substrate; a dielectric layer 123 in which the sustaining electrodes are embedded, a first emitter electrode 124a and a second emitter electrode 124b formed of conductive material on the dielectric layer so as to be arranged corresponding to the first sustaining electrode and the second sustaining electrode respectively; and a first electron emission layer 128a and a second electron emission layer 128b formed on the first emitter electrode and the second emitter electrode, respectively, in such a manner that their widths gradually become narrower toward the gap between the first emitter electrode and the second emitter electrode and emitting electrons flowing therein from the first and second emitter electrodes.
